I have created a dress from some of my hand dipped Indigo fabrics. Having always wanted to create a wearable art garmet this was my chance. It was such fun! The skirt was create from a cottonsheeting wood resist indigo bath dipping. The top is made from linen which actually started as a pair of slacks!
I used sashiko stitiching on the skirt patches. The skirt patches were recylced denim jeans I have had for probably ten years just laying around for such a project.
The 2 Piece Dress was accepted into the 2019-12-07 2019-12-28 America/New_York Wearable Art Competition & Exhibition
