I am excited to have been asked to contribute to the Gigi Rosenberg article for Professional Artist Magazine.  Gigi is a staff writer for the magazine and many of you know about Gigi and the wonderful articles she writes for the publication. Here is a link to the article  http://bit.ly/2MsWbRh , "How to Give a Artist Talk. Take a look as it has some very good information about the artist talk which all of us give from time to time in our careers.

My artwork, "Water Spout" is also featured!
This artwork is about the torrential rains that Northern California was swamped with after the drought.

Arka Gallery, 19th International Biennial of Textile Miniatures Award

I received an award from Arka Gallery, Lithuania by the judges for my two artworks submitted to the 10th International Biennial of Textile Miniatures "Ethno". The object of my artwork was to create two artworks as if I had to leave my home in less than 30 minutes.  I created these two incomplete screen prints of a family running for their life.

Swimming Upstream

I am a member of Louise Webb's memoir writing class. Louise was a reporter on the local newspaper beat here in the Bay Area of California at one time. As I listened to her stories it truly sounds like Louise had a really interesting life.  At our last class she told us how she had interviewed Truman Capote once.  I could listen to Louise talk all day!

Back to my story, once a month someone from her Memoir Class is chosen to write for The Outlook which is the newspaper for Saratoga Senior Center. I was honored when they wanted to print my story for this Thanksgiving issue.

Spring Mountain Gallery, Half Moon Bay, California

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing and outdoor
This great spring day I was at one of my favorite places having new artworks photographed with two of my favorite people, Deb and Mike Wong at Spring Mountain Gallery! If you are ever in need of photography for your artwork, new family photos/business or framing this is the best place. Deb also works on restoring old photos and building web sites. Oh, and by the way the title of new textile is "ALVISO", 36 x 36 and is priced at 1,600.00.
