"She Votes"

Not much time left to participate in the Southern California Women's Caucus for Art "She Votes" altered book.
We are creating the book to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. Turnout for the book has been more than I could have imagined and the 4 x 6 artworks are a delight and some days I just have to look at them and try to figure out how they created the artistic gems. To particpate you just need to be a member of Womens's Caucus for Art or join a Chapter/be a Member At Large. www.nationalwca.org. More info and release is located on my web site. www.bonniejofiberarts.com or feel free to contact me.
Here are some pictures of  the wonderful artworks that I have received so far. Some members have even created 4-5 artworks, let your imagination take hold.
Cut off date is July 31, 2020. If you need more time just contact me at bjs8934@gmail.com.
Voting is so important this year and we should celebrate those before us that fought tirelessly for our right to vote! We will have a online show of all of the works this fall for your viewing pleasure. Art works all along have been posted on SCWCA Facebook page for viewing.

"She Votes"

                                            "She Votes" SCWCA Altered Book

Here is a new artwork I received for the "She Votes" altered book I am autoring for Southern California Women Caucus For Art. This a really wonderful organization that I have been a member
of since 2007.  The idea came from 2020 being the Centennial of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote. This is a big date to celebrate so I thought why not commemorate this
momentus occasion. So with the Board's (of which I am a member) backing we were off and running. The book will be exhibited and hopefully be placed in a museums archive after the book has toured.
Deadline to be included is July 31, 2020. Please help me fill this book.

Here is just a preview of what I have received. These are little gems that is for sure!

Port Hueneme Beach

Today at the beach was great. Last week the police was busy but by this week I think everyone realized we are a family beach. So not much traffic thankfully.
So you can walk and talk but just keep moving if you come to enjoy our beaches. Even though Ventura County can open parks they have not and probably won't for a while as they are taking this time to do upgrades. We are all pleased with how our local government is handling this situation.

DACA

                                DACA
My textile artwork "DACA" was accepted into 13th International Textile Art Biennial "Scythia". I have been in the minature division many times but this is my first time to enter the full Biennial. The textile is 9ft x 6 ft and tells the story of the Dreamers to the current date.
